Samantha Cutrara

With a PhD from York University in Education (2012) and a focus on meaningful learning in Canadian history education, Dr. Samantha Cutrara has become an expert on teaching, learning, and curriculum for K-12 and Higher Education.

As a History Education Strategist, Dr. Cutrara develops strategies, projects, and programs that help organizations and individuals teach Canadian history in ways that are more meaningful, inclusive, and transformative.

As a Program Development and Curriculum Innovation Specialist in the Office of the Vice Provost Academic at York University, she works closely with Faculties and departments to develop more innovative, student-centric curricular offerings.

Dr. Cutrara's first book, Transforming the Canadian History Classroom: Imagining a New "We" was published in 2021! Published by UBC Press, it can be found where ever books are sold, such as the UBC Press website, Amazon, Indigo, or independent book stores such as A Different Booklist.
